"If I had clean clothes
people would treat me
like a human being."

Helping low‑income families and individuals wash their clothes since 2003

Millions of low-income struggling
families and individuals

The story of Laundry Love began with T-Bone (Eric),

a houseless gentleman living in Ventura Calif. In one particular conversation, a question was asked of him: “How can we come alongside your life in a meaningful way?” His response was honest and practical. “If I had clean clothes I think people would treat me like a human being.”

Laundry Love gives the gift of clean clothes

The Laundry Love initiative consists of regular opportunities to come alongside people who are struggling financially by assisting them with their laundry. Laundry love partners with groups and local laundromats in cleaning clothes and linens of low-income or no-income families and individuals. We see the laundromat as a place where strangers become friends, people are known by name, hope is hustled, and the worth of every human being is acknowledged and celebrated.

Over 1,200,000 loads of laundry done, over 850,000 people cared for

With 30,000+ laundromats nationwide, one in your city &
town, lets establish a Laundry Love effort near you.

“We average 780 loads a month. We have connected with the two women’s shelters here and that has been spectacular! They bring all their bedding and children’s clothing and their own, and we do about 85 loads for them.
This is a terrific project and it does so much good --- the fellowship is outstanding, and grows with each return of participants. It helps our homeless project coordinator to discover more people to help, and our community is, for the first time, working to create Our Father’s House, as a shelter from the cold and wet weather. Eventually, it will be operational all year as we develop the volunteers and the financing.
Laundry Love sparked this interest and commitment in our community. What a great work it is!"

Laundry Love was the beginning of seeing the world differently for me...seeing the forgotten, the overlooked , the cast aside, and those in the margins. It showed me those who the systems and prosperity gospels of the world didn't work, but not for lack of faith...for lack of opportunity, dignity and relationship. Some of my best friends and relationships in the world have been shaped by this movement and I could not imagine where I'd be without them . Thank you for being faithful to this work. I am a life that was changed because of it. A life interrupted...
