The Laundry Love initiative consists of regular opportunities to help people who are struggling financially by assisting them with doing their laundry. For those living below the poverty line, washing clothes presents both a logistical problem and a financial hardship. Laundry Love partners with local laundromats in cleaning the clothes of those living in shelters, motels, cars, garages and on the streets.
Step 1.Build a committed group. This could be friends, family, co-workers, community groups or church groups.
Step 2.Download the Laundry Love Guide and read thoroughly. If you have questions, contact a Laundry Love Coach
Step 3.Find a local laundromat to partner with. Consider location, mass transit, bus lines, walkability, near low-income areas, etc.
Step 4.Register your Laundry Love effort on our site's national map. This allows others to find you as a guest or as a volunteer.
Step 5.Develop funds to sustain your Laundry Love effort. Build partnerships that will care for Laundry Love participants.
